  Ordered this on prime day not too long ago. I've been meaning to switch one out of 3 of my cats (I have 3 cats) water bowls and try the fountain. 2 of my cats have the bad habit of dipping their crusty, liter coated paws in the water bowl and since it's stagnant it just collects and I have to frequently change and wash the bowl part. (It has a water jug as well). Got the fountain and put it next to the water bowl and observed if they all used it. Happy to say all three used it. Neither of them went to drink out the water bowl. The running water attracts them. And it's kept them from sticking their paws in as well, so no more dirty water. It comes with filters, but you can also out filtered water if you wanna keep the filters lasting a bit longer. The fountain is actually pretty quiet and the led light it has helps so you don't trip over it at night.One of my cats has kidney disease(early stages) and vet recommended she drink plenty of water. Even said a fountain would work better. Happy to say this fountain has not disappointed. Just be sure to follow proper cleaning once every 2 weeks and keep an eye on the water level. Since I have 3 cats def gonna buy another. I only bought one just to test if they would drink out if it. Seeing as they do will be getting another to place in my bedroom.Also, this helps a lot during the summer. With the water constantly moving, the water stays cool so it'll help keep your pet cool and hydrated as well.

  I really like that it does keep the water fresher longer, if you get this I definitely suggest also getting the replacement filter pack.I clean it out once a week if it is needing refilled or not just because on the top layer over time it does start to get a build up of that slimy feel. It is very easy to clean. I am not sure how often I should be changing the filter but I clean it off with every cleaning and have replaced it once since purchasing, I think aiming for changing once a month.We have 4 cats and they all are enjoying it. It did take them some time to get used to, they mostly like drinking right from the flower.When you clean it definitely make sure you are removing the pack that sits on the bottom and cleaning it good as well (I use HOT water) if you don't clean it then it does get loud when cycling.It is very quiet, I often forget we have it. I turn the light on at night so if someone is walking by they don't hit it. The top doesn't click on so it spills very easily, not sure if it's supposed to but ours doesn't.I think the one thing it could use is a warning light to notify when the water is getting low, we have had it run out of water once since purchasing and had no idea for about a day and a half when our cats were all trying to drink from sinks and toilets 🤦‍♀️ it does eventually get "louder" when it is empty but it takes a bit.

  Pump not strong enough

  Have had this for 6 months. Great design, lighting etc. But as soon as it gets to less than 2/3rd full the pump is not strong enough to keep the water flowing. Looking to buy an alternative already.
