  I finally found my holy grail

  I used Cetaphil before and I loved the hydration but it has silicones, it’s not vegan and cruelty free. So I was in a hunt for a good moisturizer and finally found this one. After using this I noticed a huge difference. It’s very mositurizing. I had tiny bumps in my skin and they have disappeared now. I have heard that if you want this moisturizer to work , we need to first wash our face and then apply that way the hyaluronic acid works better and not apply it to the dry skin. I follow this tip and it works like wonder. Hydration through out the day even though I have the most dry skin and often see skin peels! In love with it. It’s clean, scent free and hydrating. It doesn’t not have that slip we notice in cetaphil or other silicone moisturizers but we know that’s the good part.

  It’s grown on me!

  When I first received the Honest Beauty Hydrogel moisturizer, I described it to a friend as “Elmer’s glue at first, then...watery,” as well as both too much and not enough moisture for my skin. At the time, I was desperate for an affordable moisturizer that didn’t make my sensitive skin (perioral dermatitis, acne rosacea, ocular rosacea, regularly angry) flare up in some way. Hydrogel doesn’t irritate me in any way, but it initially seemed the learning curve for applying it was just too steep. I’m autistic and have sensory issues so texture can be A Problem, and hypermobile fingers that often press too hard or not firm enough. Fast forward two and a half months: I’m still on the search for something that will break neither the bank nor my face, and I’m in love with the Honest gentle gel cleanser. I pulled the Hydrogel moisturizer out of my box of half-used things, and—I don’t know if it needed to sit for a while, or I glopped enough on my face to spread it before it turned watery, but now, *finally*, this is what I’m looking for! It has no scent whatsoever (and is fragrance-free—no masking fragrances that make it scentless). Zero burning, even on angry skin days. No additional/unusual blemishes; in fact, many of my spots are looking much better after consistently using Hydrogel (and the gentle gel cleanser). I don’t apply it super close to my eyes; however, my undereye area is looking much better/less creased where I do apply it. I hope Bolo starts to offer the little refill pot that Target does, both for my bank account and the planet. (Mid-30s afab, dry/combo *very sensitive/reactive* skin, light olive)

  Great moisturizer for dry skin and humid weather

  I have moderately dry and sensitive, acne-prone skin. I also live in extremely hot and humid weather so, most months, I sweat a lot when I go outside. Using this after washing my face or taking a cold shower, especially when my skin is a bit damp, does wonders. The key is to not dry your face off completely before applying, to use a little bit and apply to different points on your face, and then PAT it into your skin, don’t rub. It also doesn’t pill under makeup. The only drawback for me on this is that there is no larger size and it is costly for me to purchase one of these (as a student) every month and a half or two months max.

  It’s better than any other moisturizer I’ve tried

  I find this moisturizer to be more on the medium side instead of “light” now this isn’t a bad thing for myself because I am pairing it with a retinol cream and I’m going to need that moisture support when it’s being used. However it’s not heavy feel on the face. Where my face feels like it can’t breathe, it’s actually pretty normal feeling as it absorbs well, it doesn’t appear to make my face greasy looking - just a nice glow. It’s got an okay smell. It’s not particularly “stinky” but it’s also not a “no smell” I’m a moisture snob so…you can take the remarks with a grain of salt if you’d like. Over all it’s a better moisturizer than I have found around store shelves organic and the big box stores, Not too thin like water, not thick and heavy. It’s kinda like butter in a way kinda soft but melts right in with out the greasy feel though. It does give my skin on my face a good look, doesn’t appear too dry or too moisturized aka “greasy” I like it’s got some skin barrier properties to it as I’m using retinol to destroy my own. Anyways it’s a fraction of the cost of what the dermatologist recommended not greasy like those recommended and it has all the things they put on a check list to have in a moisturizer while under going a retinol treatment. It ranks okay with the EWG and so far I’m fairly happy with it. We shall see if it causes break outs but I’m not predicting any as of current - I can usually tell if a product is going to break me out by using it the first time by how it sits and feels on the skin.

  Super moisturizing

  If you are looking for a super moisturizer look no further. It's very light and packed with moisturizing substance. But I feel it only does that. If you are looking for a moisturizer that is a little more heavy, and more substantance I picked Olay Regenarist Microsculpting. I love using this one to give my skin a quick, light and intense moisture
