    Great tool.

    I got this tool as a universal tool. I have a snap on oil filter wrench set, but it is just to much trying to find the correct fit. With this tool, I just grab, and go… done! The one thing I disagree with, is that, it crushes the filter quite a bit. I am afraid that on day it will puncture the filter, and leak oil.

    Works

    Tools works just fine. Like the spring, magnet is a bonus but with or without function would be the same. Wish there was a larger model but for most standard screw on oil filters this will work.

    Great for tightening

    This tool works perfect with a 3/8 ratchet for removal all day long. Terrible for installing and tightening the oil filter

    Easy to use and to remove oil filters that don't have much access

    Most times I can use oil filter pliers to remove them. Once in a while I get a car that doesn't allow my pliers to get a good hold onto the filter. Luckily this tool can take the filter out with ease. Has magnets to help hold the filter wrench onto the oil filter case.

    Only loosen's can't be used to tighten oil filter

    I have a different one that works to loosen or tighten filters (1/4 to 1/2 turn past hand tight) but this one only can be used to loosen filters, if you try to use it to tighten a filter the jaws just open bigger not gripping the filter. For the price I will probably return it as I liked the magnet idea the filter on my Ram truck is tricky to get to and it did work great to take the filter off, but still had to dig my old one out to tighten it.
