TIPS: Here are solutions about frequently questiones answers.

  1. 4K resolution requires 4K TV, 4K player and 4K HDMI cable. 4K is 2160p resolution, referring to 4096x2160 and 3840x2160.
  2. 4K 60Hz TV supports up to 60fps, such as 1080p 60fps, 4k 60fps.
  3. 4K 120Hz TV supports up to 120fps, such as 1080p 120fps, 4k 120fps.
  4. TCL and Hisense TVs does not enabled all the features of HDMI 2.0 by default. Connecting to the TV with an HDMI 2.0 cable will prompt you that the HDMI cable does not support HDR and prompt you to replace the high-speed HDMI cable. You just need to enable all HDMI 2.0 features in your TV settings by yourselves. After enabling all the features of the TV HDMI 2.0, the TV will use the HDMI 2.0 cable normally, and there will be no prompt to replace the HDMI cable. TCL and Hisense, find and change "HDMI 1.4" to "HDMI 2.0" in the TV settings.
  5. Samsung Smart TV Q80T has a BUG and cannot recognize Apple TV. After Q80T selects the input source, it stays at "Scanning for devices" for a long time, and then the Unknown window appears. "You can set up this device manually so you can control it with your Smart Remote. Do you want to set it up now?" Select the "Setup" button to enter the manual setup, but you can't find apple tv. You can only exit the manual setting and select the "Later" button. After the screen flickered several times, the apple tv 4K window was displayed. Do other Smart TVs have similar Bug.
  6. Some monitors and TVs have multiple HDMI slots, but only one HDMI slot is HDMI2.0, which supports HDCP2.2. Please try another HDMI slot to plug in the HDMI cable.
  7. Sometimes when the HDMI cable is inserted, the player fails to read the TV's EDID and cannot display 4K or a black screen. Please replug the HDMI cable and let the player read the TV's EDID again.
  8. HDMI adapter or HDMI switch or HDMI plate will weaken the HDMI signal, causing a black screen or screen cut in/out. Please use only one HDMI cable, one end connected to the player, the other end connected to the screen, without any HDMI adapter or plate, and so on.
  9. To use ARC(eARC), first plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI slot of a TV that supports ARC(eARC). Second, enable ARC(eARC) in the TV's settings menu. To use CEC, enable CEC in the TV's settings menu.

      Change your settings

I bought these because my PS4 said it was broadcasting in 4k but as soon as I entered a game (Spider Man) my display changed to 1080p. I read into this and found out 3 things about my specific situation. 1. My HDMI cable was inadequate for 4k streaming. 2. My receiver was set to "standard" video. I changed this in setting to 2.2 4k resolution. 3. My PlayStation settings did not check the box for HDCP 2.2(found in "system" setting). I did all these things and Viola. Which is French for now I know. If you're experiencing similar issues make sure all your equipment is HDCP 2.2 compatible. If so, be sure to go into settings and change it. It is not defaulted. This is not plug and play unfortunately. Hope this helps.

Short version, buy this cable! Long version below for specifics

I bought this to replace another 30 foot cable that I had been using for a few years on an original xbox one. I dont know if this one or the old cable were rated for in wall use ot not but I used both that way anyway and had no issues.I ran it in a wall and across my attic and back down a wall to get to a TV mounted over the fireplace. The old cable worked fine for years and I still have a couple others just like it that are in use for 1080p sources. But when i upgraded to 4k for an xbox one x and 4k TV the cable dropped signal immediately and would only flash an image at best before dying. I bought a signal booster and put it on the end of the old cable and voila it worked! Well sort of. I would have to occasionally plug and unplug the power to the booster and it would usually work after one or two tries then it was fine until everything was shut down again and we repeated the process.About 6 months later, I began having increasingly frequent video and audio total dropouts using my old setup, including ones where it would come back fine on it's own after a few seconds, sometimes needed multiple manual resets at the booster like I had done before, and even times where it would display all kinds of funny colors but not a proper image. So I began my search again for a better cable. I had searched before and settled on the booster because it was easier than the total rerun through the wall. This time i actually ordered a monoprice active cabernet series cable before reading this reviews because it was supposed to be the best. Then i read some more reviews and people with similar setups to mine were reporting less than stellar results. Cancelled order and set out to search agian. That's when I found this cable. The reviews were all positive but none specifically named an xbox one let alone an xbox one x. I did find one review here that said it worked great for a ps4 pro. I had reservations because all of my research had led me to believe that an active cable would be more than likely a necessity. This cable IS NOT an active cable.I took the plunge anyhow because of all the positive reviews. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. I initially ran it 5hrough the wall and used my signal booster on it just as I had before with my old cable and all worked well, but I did notice some temporary delays when I would switch apps or when a particularly dark loading screen would come on I would lose signal before it returned on it's own. So just for testing purposes, I removed the booster. REMOVING THE BOOSTER SOLVED IT.The booster worked well but it would think that the signal was lost because it struggled with dark screens and therefore it would not allow the signal to pass through to the TV. I want to emphasize that this is a very different problem than I had with the old cable. The old cable would not display properly at all without the booster. The new cable worked okay with the booster but once I removed the booster, the cable has functioned exactly as intended for a couple weeks without a single dropout. I had gotten so used to fighting with my setup when I turned it on that it was almost stressful everytime I had to hope and pray it would work. Now it feels strange to just have everything work as it is supposed to with no fight at all.Bottom line, this cable delivers on all of its promises,, appears well built with good materials, and will run a full 4k signal from a xbox one x, through 30 feet of cable, to a 4k TV with no trouble. There will be no greater stress test for this particular cable. You should buy it.

This cable solved my picture problems. I've been using this cable for a few months now.

I have a one year old 65" 4K TV wall mounted in my new home. When we moved in to the home 2 years ago, I ran another brand HDMI cable through the wall to the TV (almost 30'). At the time I only had a 45" TV, that was not 4K. It worked ok, but I had the strangest problem. Randomly the TV signal would just completely blank out. When I got my new 65" 4K, the problem got much worse. I noticed the pattern was always when something else on a nearby circuit was powered on. The light switch, ceiling fan, or an electric kitchen appliance. At first I thought it was an electrical issue, but a simple check of the outlets ruled that out. Then I found some others had similar issues due to a poor quality HDMI cable. So I began my search. I found this cable, it was a great price, but looked like it had the qualities I was looking for. When I received it, I was immediately pleased just by looking at the cable. It seemed better insulated, and very sturdy. I hooked it up to my TV, and SUCCESS! My TV no longer blanks out! I highly recommend this cable.Lesson learned: Short cables may not be as picky due to less signal loss over a short distance. And older, lower end TV's may not care either. But when going with longer cables, or a high quality TV, you absolutely need to buy a higher grade cable!

I went to Best Buy, Walmart

Picked up a LG Oled c7 TV and it displayed snow on screen with the preinstalled 25' hdmi. I went to Best Buy, Walmart, and Target and tried 5 different cables. One of them was a 25' $99 hdmi cable. I was almost done with trying to fix the issue when the Birdie cable I ordered came in. Finally these freakin cables worked!! No snow with these high quality cables! The TV was one cable away from being returned. Great cables, make the purchase!

I recently purchased a 4K tv and used some cheap HDMI cables to hook everything up. Things worked ok for a few weeks, then I started having issues with dropped signals and artifacts in the picture. My first thought was that the TV I purchased was a bad one, so I went on-line to see if other owners had similar issues - they weren’t. But I did see several people saying that you need a good quality cable for 4K. I didn’t believe it (I have always been one of those “it’s just a wire” people). After becoming more and more frustrated with my TV, I was just about ready to take it back. The only thing stopping was my laziness in taking the TV down and repacking it. I decided that I would try a better cable first. In reviewing my options on Bolo, I came across these cables. They had great reviews and were not stupidly expensive so I ordered them. When they arrived, I was immediately impressed by how well the cables were packaged - it was like they truly cared about their product. After plugging everything in, I have to admit that I didn’t notice any major changes in picture quality, but the artifacts were gone and my signal was no longer dropping. I did also notice that everything seems to be faster when I switch inputs.I’ve only had these cables a couple weeks, but I’m truly happy that they have solved my problems so far. If it changes, I will update this review.
