The MPM-1000 is perfect for podcasting applications or capturing high-quality audio from vocalists, melodic instruments, percussion, drum kits and more.
At the heart of the MPM-1000 is a 18mm pure-aluminum-plated condenser capsule with a directional cardioid polar pattern. The result? A wide-ranging frequency response (20 – 20,000Hz), high sensitivity (-38dB ± 2dB (0dB = 1V/Pa @ 1kHz)) and a fast-transient response that combine for premium capture and faithful recreation of every subtle nuance of a sung or narrated vocal part - all with minimal interference from unwanted ambient noise.
With the MPM-1000, complicated setups are a thing of the past. Thanks to an included windscreen, a purpose-designed shock-mount for mounting to a traditional mic-stand, a tripod stand, and even an XLR cable, all the core tools for seamless connectivity are thoughtfully included for instant recording and creative potential. When combined with low self-noise (17dBA) and signal-to-noise ratio (77dB) specifications, pristine audio capture is guaranteed every time.

      Entry level condenser mic

      If you've been watching Youtube comparision reviews of condenser mics, then you should understand that YouTube's compression algorithms are likely the reason why this sounds as good to you as the 'pro' mics costing ten times as much, (yet the reviewer waxes lyrical about them anyway !)With that out the way, this will deliver all the audio you need if, like me, you are in an untreated room, (rather than a sound treated studio).You will need a proper mic stand though, and an audio interface (with 48v phantom power) box to connect it to your laptop, each of which will cost as much as this mic.

      MPM-1000 - Studio Recording XLR Condenser Microphone

      Used on my ICOM 775 Amateur radio. I get exceptionally good audio quality reports when using this microphone. I does require "Phantom Power" to function.
